Construction work continues despite shortages

Day 2 of construction saw the extension of the stonework on the gatehouse and the addition of the overhanging window thingy (a ‘machicolation’ for the architecturally minded). I’ve cut the rear panel out as well, but at this stage, I haven’t decided exactly how the interior of the cast will look – need to get to work on some drawings. I might even do this in Google SketchUp, so Greg can see a virtual table and plan his scenario (how cool is that eh?).

I thought I had sufficient pieces of 5mm balsa or foamcore in the shed, but I was unpleasantly surprised when I went to look. I will need to pay a visit to Hobby Habit and resupply before too long. Here’s the latest photo (with an AE-WWII Russian sniper, and Gretel von X from Incursion for scale reference – note the combat lingerie). This is going to be the largest and most complex model I have ever built – good practice for when I build Rivendell.
