Time is running short, but I’ll make it…

The big day is drawing near (a week and a half to go), but the castle is taking shape very nicely now. I’ve finished sculpting the cliffs and there’s very little actual construction that needs to happen now – it’s just the remaining painting that needs to be done and filling in some gaps here and there. Oh, and finish off the river and waterfalls.

Here’s the latest photos:

  1. Marveless! I really love this masterpiece. It looks really stunning german! It is very nice to see the the (f)artist! Do you paint rocks in one step? It seems so on the picture.

  2. Dude I would say something but my jaw is on the floor.

  3. Hi Dagorlad,

Just happen to bounce upon your spodding page. I see you’re still going strong! Great project you have over there. Looks really awesome. Back in hobby myself.
Busy sculpting and updating my site. Also have a kind of blog on my site so if you have the time take a peek if you like. Keep up the great work will try and do the same.

    Cheers.

  4. Hi Gerard, welcome to Spodding! I am really pleased to see you are back into the hobby. Your Amsterdam project is simply beautiful, I love the architecture of that city and you have captured it wonderfully. Are these drawings available online? Or do I have to visit Amsterdam to get copies for myself?

  5. Hi again,
Thanks for the complment on my facade.
I finished my 10th facade today so I am a bit behind updating the website. (second is on by te way)
You can access the drawings your self.
This is the link to the Amsterdam Archives:
    http://stadsarchief.amsterdam.nl/
You can read the site in English but I did not find the right directio to the drawings so here is what you do:
Click on “Beeldbank” which is below the red text saying “Online Archieven”
Type in the surch (zoek) option “bouwtekening” and off you go!
Oh yes, a pop up window shows and tells you that they only can select 10.000 drawings with this search option. Just click on OK and you can have hours of fun/work showing all these drawings.
At the right there are all kinds of specific search options like drawings from certain collections, architects, objects and so on.
    Enjoy!
    ps.
You might want to start doing this when you finish your project 🙂

    Greetings Geboom
