D&D Challenge Day 23 – Favourite Alignment

Day 23 – What’s your favourite alignment?

I get that there’s a reason for the whole ‘Alignment’ thing. It gives players (and DMs) a framework for hanging in-game decisions off. It’s the basis of the ‘role play’ side of the game I guess, but it just seems so forced to me. I’m ok with it in the game though since some players find it helpful when rationalising what their characters will and won’t do.

So I like to throw in moral dilemmas for the players now and then, just to keep them thinking… a goblin surrenders to you but refuses to tell you what you need to know. You are deep within a dungeon. You can either kill it, let it go, bring it with you or tie it up and leave it there. What are you going to do?

Mwuhahahaha.

Oh, yeah, the orioginal question… what’s my personal favourite? Chaotic Good.
