Dinolager – a new beer?

Nope, it’s an enclosure for dinosaurs in the game of Jurassic Reich.

I thought I might get some of the small models out of the way first so I can concentrate on the castle and landscaping and not have to rush these other things at the end. So last night I started working on the guard towers for the Dinolager. They are fairly quick and easy to construct as it happens. Just a box with a roof on some sticks basically. It’s based on the towers used in POW camps (e.g. Stalag Luft III in The Great Escape) and inspired by some very stirring photos on eBob’s website (eBob’s Gallery right down the bottom of the page). I plan on getting the full set of his Germans to use on this project.

Hmm, might need a ladder

Hmm, might need a ladder

I need three of these towers to go around the perimeter of the camp.

I also picked up some material yesterday to do the electrified fences. I didn’t need much, just about 10cm high and 1m long. The smallest amount I could get was a pack of 1m x 5m, so I now have 4.9m left over! Over the weekend I might be able to get a lot of the camp completed hopefully.

The camp will hold an assortment of dinosaurs including one or more T-Rex, a Triceratops, and (hopefully) some Raptors on leashes like guard dogs.
