Taking Shape

Been working on the main gatehouse over the past few days and it’s really starting to take shape. I’ve merged elements of Teutonic medieval architecture into the original Corvin Castle design to try to make it more German than Romanian, but still keeping its essential spookiness. The strong vertical lines and deep shadows are reminiscent of Albert Speer’s architecture which makes it perfect for a Nazi stronghold. Plus changes to the top of the tower will give me somewhere to put some pterodactyl nests.

Been reworking the Sketchup model too since there were some significant flaws in the original drawing. I’ll post an update when I get a bit further along.

Here’s the tower as it stands at present, with some suitable WWII minis for scale purposes.
