Eureka’s new Turtle Tank is an absolute joy to paint – I managed to paint 3/4 of this beast within an hour and am really pleased with the results far. My wife and kids said I should put it in a terrarium, and I’m inclined to agree.
This has to be one of my favourite models ever, the detailing on the turtle’s skin is exquisite and the look of pained sadness in its eyes are so expressive and realistic. (And yes, it’s a turtle and not a tortoise, since it lives in water.) I have assembled the howda and just need to fill a couple of small gaps before priming it and affixing it to the turtle’s back. Then there’s the 9 crew members to go on it and the two swivel guns as well. A whopping 30 pieces go to make up this model and it’s all for $50.
When the rules for this game (working title “Pond Wars”) come out next year I will be ready and kitted up for battle!
Looking forward to seeing how this project turns out Alan! 🙂
I’ll add in some photos when I get home tonight Dave – they’re on my camera, but I ran out of time to upload them before I went to work this morning.
Brilliant job brother! 🙂
I love the browns on his shell!!
