Very much a Work-In-Progress, so excuse the crappy paint job etc. Lot’s to do still – I had hoped to get it finished this month, but it turned out larger than I was expecting and I ran out of time, so it will spill into September now. Good job I’m a bit further along with the castle eh?

Nice work so far dude I have one question on the roof tiles I know they are Hirst Arts the color is it red or is a more terricotta. Cause the do look good
The roof is undercoated with black and then I paint the basecoat with the GW foundation paint red (can’t remember its name).
After that I use GW’s Terracotta as the base and mix in all sorts of browns, oranges and even flesh tones to get a fair variety of colours. It’s not reached that stage yet, but when I finish the whole roof I will wash it with a muddy brown or black.
And today I discovered to my horror that GW no longer make Terracotta – possibly one of the most useful colours in the terrain maker’s palette.
So I still have 3/4 of the roof to paint and not enough of the right colour. Time to visit my Friendly Local Vallejo reseller.
I wish I had your talent my friend…really impressive job! 🙂
